Spicy Thai Noodles

Sometimes the most simple dish can be so full of flavor! That is exactly what I was wanting for dinner and it is exactly what I got. The right amount of spicy and sweet over noodles... it really hit the spot!

Start by measuring out 1/4 cup of sesame oil...
To a medium low pan, add the oil and 1 tablespoon of crushed red pepper flakes (I used the tablespoon but I will caution you that this makes the dish have a LOT of spiciness to it! So if you want a little less spicy do about 1/2 tablespoon)
While you wait for the pepper flakes to cook for about 2 minutes, measure out 3 tablespoons of honey to a mixing bowl...
Along with 3 tablespoons of soy sauce...
Whisk together...
Drain the oil from the pan over a strainer into your honey and soy sauce...
Throw away the red pepper flakes...
Whisk in 1/2 teaspoon of white sugar...
Throw your noodles into the boiling water, I used linguine, and chop up 1 stick of green onion...
Toast about 1 tablespoon of sesame seeds on low heat...
Drain the pasta when its ready...
Add the pasta into the pan you used to infuse the sesame oil with the red pepper flakes..
Toss noodles with sauce... garnish with green onion, cilantro, and sesame seeds. Enjoy!
