Bacon Cheddar Chive Scones

Sunday morning came too quickly and with a million things to do today I wanted to make a quick breakfast for everyone. I didn't want to miss out on any of the delicious breakfast flavors though. So breakfast scones came to mind and this was the best decision!!

In a large bowl add 1 cup of flour
1 teaspoon baking powder
1 tablespoon sugar
And half a teaspoon salt. Mix together and set aside.
Now come the star ingredients... Shred 1/2 cup of sharp cheddar cheese
And chop up two scallions
And begin cooking 3 slices of bacon over medium heat
Combine the cheese and scallions in a medium sized bowl
Now add in 1/4 cup + 1/8 cup heavy cream. Fold together with fork.
Cut up 1/8 cup unsalted cold butter into cubes
Cut into the flour mixture until it crumbles
Create a reservoir in the middle of the mixture and set aside again
Drain the bacon on paper towel
Chop
Toss into the cheese mixture...
Spoon into the center of the flour mixture
Mash with your fingers until your form a ball of dough (you may have to add in an extra tablespoon of cream)
Flour your surface and your rolling pin and roll into a circle about 3/4 inch thick
Using a pizza cutter or a knife cut into triangles
Place on a greased baking sheet and brush with cream
Place in the oven for 20 minutes until golden brown. Enjoy nice and warm and flakey!
