Grilled Pork Chops with Apples

Tonight I decided to grill up some pork chops and get back to the paleo diet! Its time, haha. These chops will not disappoint you on flavor one bit! I will most definitely be making them again! Hope you like them!

To begin, add 1 1/2 cups of organic (no sugar added) apple juice to a medium heat saucepan. *The reason I stuck to organic was for my paleo diet so if that's not something you're interested you can use any apple juice you'd like!
Then add 1/4 cup of organic 100% maple syrup *still sticking to my paleo, haha
Next add in 1 tablespoon all organic all natural yellow mustard
1/2 teaspoon red pepper flakes for some heat
Finally, 1/2 teaspoon salt. Whisk together and watch to make sure it doesn't boil over
While you wait, add 2 tablespoons organic cane sugar to a small mixing bowl. (Obviously depending on your paleo restrictions some people don't believe in adding cane sugar. If you aren't doing paleo, you could use brown sugar!)
 2 teaspoons chili powder...
 1 teaspoon onion powder...
1/2 teaspoon freshly cracked black pepper. Whisk together.
Finally, add in 1 tablespoon of extra virgin olive oil. Set aside. *Or you could use melted coconut oil
Pat down your pork chops with a paper towel
Using your fingers, rub the spice mixture all over your chops... the smell makes your mouth water, just giving you a fair warning!
Normally I would say throw them on a medium heat grill... but its 10 degrees outside... soooo.... I'm using a grill pan in the heat of my home :-)
While the first side is grilling, brush on some of your apple juice mixture all over the tops of the chops.
Flip over and brush the other side with the juice mixture as well. Look at those beautiful grill marks! You want to go ahead and keep flipping the chops over medium heat and with every flip brush more juice over the tops. I did this 8 or 9 times a side.
While you wait, slice an apple.
Once the chops are done, place them on a plate and set aside. Brush the cut side of the apples with juice mixture and grill.
Place skin side down for about 4 minutes. Serve the chops with the apples and enjoy!!!
